I like how you have accentuated only the first part of the tree, but it leaves the viewer wanting to see more.

Nice shot. You know, though it is nice, you might loose the in-focus bottom portion of the shot. Technically it is interesting, but the real interest is the out-of-focus trunk and fronds at the top.

This is an excellent shot. I like the shallow dof; the detail of the trunk provides great foreground interest to anchor the shot and the rest of it being oof teases the viewer and turns this picture into a work of art rather than merely a record shot.
